Community Care Network supports the Halal Food Bank – Melbourne school drive, where an ongoing Monthly donation of non-perishable food items are collected from schools and distributed to organisations that work with needy children and families, those who require crisis support, and refugees and asylum seekers across Melbourne.
Help us get more schools involved in this initiative so more students can enhance empathy towards those who are in need and unable to afford basic staple foods. Also, to educate on nutritional needs and its impact when one is unable to appropriate food choices while supporting a local community service.
Students are also welcome to participate in the putting together of food parcels on one of the monthly packing days as an excursion – or we can hold an incursion packing day at the school with the foods collected by student.
